Jan Petr Research Group

Welcome to Jan Petr Research Group!

Our research focuses on analytical chemistry, particularly separation techniques, with an emphasis on capillary electrophoresis (CE) and its integration with mass spectrometry (MS). We are dedicated to developing new methods for the analysis of various biologically active compounds, chiral separations, and nanoparticle characterization. By investigating the principles and mechanisms underlying these methods, we aim to deepen our understanding of the processes involved. Additionally, in collaboration with the group of Tomáš Pluháček, we have developed a novel connection between capillary electrophoresis and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (CE-ICP-MS), which is now being applied to tasks such as analyzing chiral compounds, nanoparticles, and nanoclusters. Lastly, we are also involved in low-cost microfluidics research on a limited scale.

If you are highly motivated and interested in working with us, we welcome your participation. Please feel free to contact us.
